Thief skills shown in the preview

MoveShown availabilityDisplayed effect or limit
Dagger Throw (translated)Starting tutorialThrows a dagger at one enemy for physical damage.
Speed UpLevel 3Adds 25 percentage points of critical chance for 3 turns. The English description explicitly says it does not change turn order.
Backstab (translated)Level 7Attacks from behind; each hit is a critical hit, but the enemy can still dodge. The preview lists a 6-turn cooldown.

Read the important Thief mechanic

A guaranteed critical hit on Backstab is not the same as a guaranteed hit. The visible description still allows the target to dodge. Keep hit chance and critical chance separate.

How to choose Thief at character creation

  1. Find Thief

The center character label and weapon line should match Thief and dagger.

  2. Check the class-specific move

Dagger Throw (translated) appears in the starting-move panel; compare its effect before confirming.

  3. Confirm the starting choice

The shown input instruction says Enter selects the current class. These images do not show rerolling or changing an existing character.

Your next step with Thief

The preview lists Rogue, Assassin and Beast Tamer as advanced options; unlock quests, costs and level requirements are not demonstrated.
